Asiabeat Project
“The Groove Sessions” December 29 & 30 The Asiabeat Project is the brainchild of Lewis Pragasam, one of Asia’s leading drum/percussion exponents and innovator in World Music. With five albums released worldwide, the Asiabeat project recordings and performances are now legendary in the merging of Asian & contemporary music styles. Besides his Asiabeat Project, Lewis has also performed/recorded with international renowned artistes such Randy Crawford, Ernie Watts, Billy Coblum, Jeff Berlin, Bob James, Nathan East and Ottmar Liebert to name a few. This time round, fresh back from the Bangkok Jazz Festival and with a sixth album due to be released early 2007, Asiabeat will be playing to the musical styles of funk, rhythm & blues and world beat.
