Mr. Gambus Acoustic Project
January 12 & 13 Mr Gambus aka Farid Ali has been actively promoting his brand of world jazz by incorporating the gambus with contemporary jazz. He has performed in countless festivals internationally and has to date released three albums. His latest ablum, ‘Back to Basics” was launched last month at the Penang Island Jazz Festival. This ablum is a blend of traditional Malaysian music such as Zapin, Joget and Asli with contemporary music. Come catch Mr Gambus and his quartet in action at Alexis on January 12 & 13 where he will perform music from “Back to Basics” and much more. Farid / gambus and vocal Admission is free.
